I love the 3.5 character sheet you made, and have been using it for probably two or more years now. I'm quite excited you'll be making a 4th edition one. Since you said you're trying to keep everything pretty basic I can't really think of anything that should go in that isn't already on the sheet. This is probably pretty obvious, but maybe things like a drop down list of classes/races, and have it automatically fill some things out (like bonuses to defenses). again, thank you so much for making this, you = awesome

I agree with Uruduin about the SSA-X2 character sheets. They are always high quality and have a great ease of use. I try and maximize my characters utilizing every skill and power that they can use or perform. The character sheets are always in depth and allow me to have all my information in one single place. Kudos for well done work. I know that the 4th edition character sheets will follow the same principle. The only issue I have is that I am impatient and waiting is difficult since the current available sheets are either static fillable sheets or in an excel format that is not quite right. Thanks for all the hard work.

Thanks for the compliments, guys. I'm really glad to hear you like my sheets, and are looking forward to the 4e sheet.

I can tell you, I'm pretty stoked to get a public beta out as soon as I can, because I think this is probably my best sheet yet, and I know there's a hole in the "market" for calculating sheets that don't look like crap (ie: Excel).

I've got a 4th edition testing session with my friends on Thursday (it was postponed from Monday), and that'll be the first functional test of the sheet. I've already updated the Alpha build once, and will likely have a second build available for my friends by the weekend. I'm hoping to have a public beta available for the community by the end of August, but don't hold me to that.

Pasus,
Just wanted to put this out there. My group has been playing 4th edition and it Wizards has done a superb job of making the the race, class, and stats relavent. I have been playing since AD&D and it was always who could get the best magic items the quickest. Now your skills and abilities matter more than ever which is a breath of fresh air or in some cases a breath of Dragonborn air :).

With that long conveluted ramble said! If you need any additional testers my group would happily volunteer. We have a wide range of players that have played for years and a those that have never played. Yes this is a shameless plug to try and get our hands on the character sheets. Is it working?

Thanks again for the best character sheets out there!

I may take you up on that offer. Additional testers are always helpful.

Email me (pasus@ssa-x2.com), and we can discuss if you'd like.

IS IT DONE YET? IS IT DONE YET? IS IT DONE YET? [x infinity]
can't wait for this sheet. I have always had poor handwriting, yet I'm OCD about the appearance of my work, and my D&D sheets. Having your sheets makes me happy on the inside. Can't wait!

Sorry, I had gotten sidetracked a bit (trying to come up with a way to manage multiple sourcebooks... and playing WoW :D ). I'm back into it now though. I'm hoping to have something "soon".
